Former Illinois golfer Thomas Pieters co-leads the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at 9-under entering the tournament’s final round Sunday.
Pieters and co-leader Zach Johnson have a 1:05 p.m. CT tee time Sunday.
The winner of the individual 2012 NCAA Division I championship, Pieters has never won a PGA tournament. He has three European tour wins since turning pro in 2013.
Pieters finished fourth at the Masters earlier this year. He also finished fourth at last year’s Rio Olympics.
The 25-year-old shot a 65 on Thursday, 70 on Friday and 66 on Saturday.
