As a semi-joke one year ago, Brad Underwood asked me at a Rebounders luncheon to step up and name the starting lineup for his first Illini basketball team.
Somehow, the correct five names spilled out. But it didn't matter. As we were to discover, Underwood's lineups tended to change in the first five minutes of games and throughout. And 10 different players earned starting assignments in the course of a 14-18 season. As examples, Trent Frazier and Kipper Nichols moved in and early regulars Mark Smith and Te'Jon Lucas saw reduced minutes.
The game has changed. Think back.
