KANSAS CITY, Mo. — At the tender age of 83 — much too late — Lou Henson this weekend was enshrined alongside the nation’s 75 greatest collegiate coaches, many of whom he competed against.
He will now rub shoulders for all time with the greats of the game: John Wooden, Mike Krzyzewski, Dean Smith and others who have been inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in Kansas City.
Those present to join Henson in the new class were coach Don Donoher (Dayton) and players John Havlicek (Ohio State), Charlie Scott (North Carolina), Quinn Buckner (Indiana), Rolando Blackman (Kansas State) and Ed Ratleff (Long Beach State).
