Christian Romine’s first season of Division I basketball was an educational one — on and off the court. After what was a planned redshirt season turned limited usage as a backup under Tim Floyd at Texas-El Paso, the 6-foot-9 forward/center has officially transferred to Illinois State to play under Dan Muller. The former Mahomet-Seymour standout chatted with our SCOTT RICHEY about his season with the Miners and why the Redbirds were the best fit:
What were you looking for in the transfer process?
I really wanted somewhere they were going to develop me as a player on and off the court.
