CHAMPAIGN — Tim Miles needed a point guard in the 2015 class. And that was before even more playing time opened up in the Nebraska backcourt after Terran Petteway declared for the NBA draft.
Miles set his sights early on Glynn Watson Jr. simply for his basketball pedigree. Watson's older brother is former Illinois guard and All-Big Ten selection Demetri McCamey. Watson also played for legendary coach Gene Pingatore at St. Joseph and Mike Mullins with the Illinois Wolves.
"He's got all this pedigree of excellence," Miles said of Watson. "Immediately, that's the guy I wanted. This is the guy we've got to have.
