Illinois earned the No. 7 seed in the tournament after a solid regular season. They finished the Big Ten season 12-11 and ended the regular season with a 34-20 record.
Winning 34 games is an impressive feat. They won the fifth most games in program history under first-year coach Tyra Perry.
That winning put Illinois in place to play No. 10 seed Michigan State today at 2:30PM ET.
