ROSEMONT — Senior golfer Charlie Danielson and coach Mike Small led Illinois’ awards parade on Tuesday.
Danielson earned the Big Ten’s Player of the Year honor, and Small was named the league’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Danielson, one of four Illini golfers named All-Big Ten, leads the conference with a 70.7 season stroke average.
Small has been named Coach of the Year eight times during his tenure at Illinois.
Besides Danielson, Thomas Detry and Dylan Meyer earned first-team honors, and Nick Hardy claimed second-team accolades.
