The workers you see tethered to ropes atop the former Assembly Hall won’t be leaving anytime soon. They are removing and replacing the old roofing membrane. “It will be going on all summer long,” said Warren Hood, UI athletics’ project manager.
In the past, patchwork has been done to the roof. This is more like a complete tearoff, similar to what you might do at your home.
