MADISON, Wis. — There was no dodging the reality of Illinois women's basketball's situation after Sunday's 70-56 home loss against Michigan.
And that is probably why coach Nancy Fahey's answer rang so true when she was asked after the game how she was keeping the last-place Illini (10-16, 2-13 Big Ten) motivated moving into today's 7 p.m. game at Wisconsin (12-14, 3-11).
She started by acknowledging the looming challenge of a rematch with Wisconsin, which four days after suffering a 10-point loss at State Farm Center, took down then-No. 24 Michigan handily at home.
"It's on their home court," Fahey said.
