SAVOY — This is a big golf weekend for Corbin Sebens.
On one hand, the former Monticello, Parkland and Eastern Illinois standout is focusing the bulk of his attention on winning his first University of Illinois Open, which begins today at the Orange Course.
On the other hand, the current men’s golf coach at Parkland has had a vested interest in the U.S. Open, sneaking in some viewing time in between practice sessions the last two days, trying to catch glimpses of friends Ricky Fowler and former Parkland teammate Michael Davan competing in this year’s second major championship.
