First reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Spurs have signed guard Brandon Paul to a guaranteed deal. The details of the contract have not been released but this is great news for the former Illini guard who has been trying to stick in the NBA since graduating in 2013.
When Paul was with the Illini he was spectacular. During his final season with the Orange and Blue, Paul averaged 16.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He then went undrafted by the NBA but landed on the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League, now called the Gatorade League.
