PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Rutgers coach Eddie Jordan suspended point guard Corey Sanders for two weeks on Monday for a violation of team rules. Sanders, who had the best game of his career against Illinois on Feb. 3, will miss Tuesday's game against Illinois (11-14, 3-9 Big Ten) as well as the next three against Penn State, Minnesota and Northwestern.
"Although I am disappointed to announce this suspension, I believe that it will serve as a valuable learning experience for Corey," Jordan said in a statement. "The team will continue to work hard in his absence and looks forward to his return.
