CHAMPAIGN — Jordyn Poulter's summer was a successful one. The Illinois senior setter was the only collegiate athlete on the U.S. Women's National Team roster for the Pan-American Cup, and she helped lead that volleyball team chock full of former Big Ten standouts to a gold medal.
Poulter's summer was also an uncomfortable one. In a good way.
Training in the national team gym in Anaheim, Calif., with new teammates she'd never played with before, wasn't exactly the same as her previous summers in Champaign working with her Illini teammates.
But it was beneficial to her growth as she leads the No.
