ORLANDO — Brandon Paul's push for an NBA roster spot continued full force Wednesday afternoon in the Orlando Summer League. The former Illinois guard scored 14 points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 20 points in the Dallas Mavericks' 96-75 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Paul, who was 6 of 10 from three-point range and hit four in the first quarter, scored in double figures for the fourth straight game for the Mavericks. He added a team-high six rebounds to go with four assists and three steals.
Fellow former Illini Malcolm Hill doubled his playing time for the Thunder in the loss.
