CHAMPAIGN — For Illinois volleyball coach Chris Tamas, grocery shopping isn't always quick and easy.
After all, the coach of the No. 3 team in the country has become a recognizable figure in town.
"It's hard for me to shop at the supermarket sometimes now, but I'll take it," said Tamas, who added that he gets around 100 texts after every win. "Everyone's respectful, so it's not too bad, but it's been great, and people usually say, 'Hey, nice job, Coach. I'm really glad to see the team do what they're doing.' ... Around town, people are excited for what we're doing.
