As reported by multiple media outlets yesterday, the University of Illinois has officially announced Josh Whitman as the 14th Director of Athletics in school history. The former Fighting Illini tight end is coming from Washington University (St. Louis), where he was AD from 2014-2016.
Whitman's introductory press conference will take place at 10:00am CT on Thursday morning.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Interim Chancellor Barbara Wilson has named Illinois alumnus Josh Whitman the university's 14th permanent director of athletics, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
