Nunn plans to play for Oakland

ROCHESTER, Mich. — Former Illinois guard Kendrick Nunn will continue his basketball career at Oakland, multiple outlets reported Wednesday night after Joe Henricksen of City/Suburban Hoops Report broke the news.

Nunn was dismissed from the University of Illinois on May 24 after pleading guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery. The plea deal came after he was charged with two counts of domestic battery stemming from an incident in March.

Nunn has one year of eligibility remaining. He must sit out the 2016-17 season after transferring to Oakland and will be eligible for the 2017-18 season.

Nunn was a two-year starter and three-year contributor at Illinois.
