CHAMPAIGN — Jordyn Poulter was sure her Senior Night wouldn't be that emotional. After all, Saturday night's regular season finale against Purdue wasn't going to be her last match at Huff Hall.
Illinois volleyball was a lock to host at least the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament next weekend.
At minimum, the Illini senior setter would get to play on that court with her team and in front of those fans one more time — with her sights certainly set on a few more opportunities than that.
The match wasn't that emotional. Fourth-ranked Illinois shifted into top form in the fourth set to take down the 12th-ranked Boilermakers 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-15 with Jacqueline Quade delivering a team-high 22 kills.
