Mike Small competing again at the PGA Championship

Small is coming off a season where he coached the Illini to a showing in the Final Four, and this was the ninth straight NCAA tournament he has made as the head coach of this great program. He carries many great accolades as a head coach of what is now one of the most prestigious golf programs in the nation, but his professional golf career has some legs as well.

Since 1990, Small has played in 71 PGA Tour events with the 1998 season being a full schedule of 26 tournaments that year. He has made the cut in over half the tournaments he has played in and has totaled $350,024 in career earnings.
