WESTFIELD, Ind. — Illinois men's basketball offered Moses Moody a scholarship a week ago after a strong start in the opening weekend of Nike EYBL action in Dallas.
The four-star Class of 2020 prospect is still in the early stages of his recruitment. College coaches can't even contact him directly until June 15. It should be a busy day with the 6-foot-5 guard already holding offers from the likes of Arkansas, Florida State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas and Texas A&M in addition to Illinois.
The Illini, though, have an extra hook.
Illinois defensive tackle Kenyon Jackson and Moody are lifelong friends, and Moody said he could see his fellow Little Rock, Ark.
