Lovie to honor Dungy, Pace

CHAMPAIGN — Ke’Shawn Vaughn is on his third head coach before he plays his second season at Illinois.

He saw fiery temperaments, at times, from Tim Beckman and Bill Cubit during 2015.

So far in 2016, however, the Illini sophomore running back is hard-pressed to remember seeing Lovie Smith upset.

“He’s really calm,” Vaughn said. “He doesn’t yell or nothing. Everybody is waiting for that one moment when he just blows up.

“I remember during spring ball, there were a couple fights, and he didn’t yell. I don’t know what it’s going to take, but we don’t want to push it to a point.
