SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame guards TJ Gibbs and D.J. Harvey scored 19 points each, and Juwan Durham sparked his team with all of his 10 points and five blocked shots in the second half, as the Irish held off late-charging Illinois 76-74 in an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game Tuesday night.
Trent Frazier's 24-foot, solid-look 3-point try for the Illini rimmed out just before time expired.
Durham, a 6-foot-11 sophomore transfer from Connecticut, registered a career high for points. Harvey also notched a career high and Gibbs a season high.
