CHAMPAIGN — Take another bow, Lou Henson.
Already in the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and on his way into the Illinois Athletics Hall of Fame, the legendary coach was honored again on Friday.
This time, Henson was inducted into state's Senior Hall of Fame. Selected by the Department on Aging, Henson's work was celebrated in his adopted hometown.
"It's great to get this honor," Henson said. "Most of these people, I know them personally. To come from them, it means a lot."
Henson, 86, found out about the honor recently.
"I'm so pleased to have this recognition," Henson said.
