Good evening and welcome back to another LIVE! Report. Not from State Farm Center — not for a few weeks still. I'm live tonight from Dodds Athletic Center on the campus of Parkland College. This is the Illinois women's basketball team's temporary home and mine for the first batch of nonconference games to start the season.
The Illini already romped their way past UIndy last Saturday in the lone exhibition game of the season. I wasn't able to attend, so tonight's regular season opener is the first time I'll see Illinois play someone other than its practice players.
