BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Glimpses. Fleeting most of the time. That's what Illinois men's basketball is showing of what might be its true potential.
The Illini were perhaps thinking upset with a double-digit lead during the latter part of the first half of Thursday night's game at No. 21 Indiana. Actually pulling off the win against the ranked Hoosiers, though? That proved a little harder to accomplish.
Indiana flipped the game on its head between the end of the first half and the start of the second — turning a double-digit deficit into a double-digit lead — and the Hoosiers fended off another late Illini rally for a 73-65 victory in front of a 14,832 fans at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
