CHAMPAIGN — Buddy Hield, Isaiah Cousins, Jordan Woodard and Ryan Spangler have started 104 consecutive games together for Lon Kruger, and the Oklahoma coach admits that kind of continuity is rare in college basketball.
It’s also one of the reasons the former Illinois coach has the Sooners in the Final Four.
“That’s kind of unheard of with the one-and-done and not having any injuries — knock on wood,” Kruger said during a Tuesday morning appearance on “A Penny for Your Thoughts” on WDWS 1400-AM. “They’re so comfortable with one another. They cheer each other on. They celebrate each other’s success.
