URBANA — Doug Kramer always wanted to go to Illinois. It's a family tradition. His mom Lisa is an alum (engineering). And so is his dad, Doug Sr. (speech communications).
The Kramers are all-in with Illinois football. They bought season tickets in the Colonnades Clubs.
"I think it's really special," Doug Sr. said. "I don't know how many kids grow up as Illini football fans, but he sure did because of his mom and me."
If it works the way the family hopes, their son will be the starting center in the Illinois opener against Ball State.
