So the start of the Illini season started with a bang, but not in the way one would hope. Champaign and the surrounding areas were hit by thunderstorms out of nowhere tonight, resulting in conditions unsafe for both play and watching football so the game was delayed.
Until now. It has been officially announced that the season opener against the Kent State Golden Flashes has been moved to a 1 PM start tomorrow afternoon instead of being played potentially at 1 AM. This is the right decision. Unfortunately, this means the game will not be televised. Yeah, I know.
