CHAMPAIGN — Edoardo Lipparelli’s first tournament as part of Illinois men’s golf’s top five was the 3M Augusta Invitational from April 2-3.

Then the Italian freshman made a key change, swapping out putters before the Boilermaker Invitational two weeks later. Lipparelli shot 1 over par for the tournament at Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind., tying for 18th overall. A week later, he finished tied for 17th at the Big Ten Championship.
