The news of the Whitman hiring was announced by Mark Tupper last night.
Whitman comes from D-III Washington University in St. Louis. He has been the AD at Washington for the last year and a half.
There are some people that are iffy on this hiring because of his experience and that he wasn’t the first choice for the AD position. Personally, I love this hire.
I wrote about wanting him as the AD earlier this month. This hiring is great because Whitman brings enough experience and great energy to a university that desperately needs it.
