Bloomington Pantagraph: Illini basketball more close-knit than last year
It was a little more than nine months ago that the University of Illinois’ 2014-15 basketball season ended in a bewildering pile of disappointment.
There was nearly a revolt by honked-off fans who found the performance in the final two-and-a-half games stomach-turning. They cringed when they saw the Illini fall apart in the second half at Purdue and come unraveled in the Big Ten Tournament against Michigan. Then they were genuinely disgusted when they saw Illinois mail it in against Alabama in the NIT.
