TULSA, Okla. — The 25th-ranked Illinois softball team bumped its win streak to three games with an opening sweep of its first two foes at the OSU-Tulsa Invitational on Friday.
Illinois defeated Northern Iowa 10-9 in eight innings and capped off the day with a 6-4 win against Tulsa.
The Illini (12-3) won in walk-off fashion against Northern Iowa on an RBI single by Annie Fleming, who went 2 for 5 with two RBI. Bella Loya (4 for 4, two RBI), Carly Thomas (4 for 5, two RBI) and Maddison Demers (2 for 4, two RBI) also pitched in offensively.
