Have you ever thought to yourself, "Wow, that is one really short player" while watching college football? I’m sure you have at some point. Well it turns out there’s an actual honor for that and, better yet, a Fighting Illini is under consideration! Illinois running back Kendrick Foster was named to the Dante Hall Award Watch on Tuesday afternoon; the trophy is presented to the best offensive/special teams player under 6-feet tall.
Despite nearly transferring from Illinois this Summer, Foster has already made a pretty big impact on the team. Through two games, the 5-foot-9 junior has already logged a team-high 172 rushing yards to go along with 2 touchdowns.
