Soccer (3-3 overall, 0-0 Big Ten)

The Fighting Illini soccer team took the field twice this past week and walked away with two victories on the road to improve to .500 on the season. The team’s first matchup against Evansville headed to overtime where junior Morgan Maroney’s first career goal gave the Fighting Illini a 2-1 victory. In the Fighting Illini’s second contest they took down Miami of Ohio 1-0 behind Patricia George’s goal in the 32nd minute.

New head coach Chris Tamas has made his name known early on the Illinois campus as his volleyball team has gotten off to an impressive start.
