The Illini started their fall season with the Maui Jim Intercollegiate. This is a new tournament on the schedule this season. Illinois finished this tournament at -9 and was 29 strokes out of first place. They finished in a tie for ninth place.
The annual Fighting Illini Invitational was the next stop for the Orange and Blue. This is a tournament hosted by the Illini every year at Olympia Fields. Illinois threw up a three-round total of +19, which was good enough for a tie for fifth.
Illinois then headed to Carmel, Indiana to play the Crooked Stick Invitational.
