Yes, I know it isn’t hard to show improvement from a 2-10 season. Illinois dropped their final 10 games in 2017 as well. But, the clear improvements aren’t just slight. They are big progressions as a program. From the quarterback position actually moving the ball to the linebackers being one of the strongest areas on the field.
Another strong area that I have been mentioning is the running backs. Illinois has done an amazing job on the ground this season. They are currently averaging 247 rushing yards per game, which ranks No. 15 in all of college football.
