Last night the Illini received a commitment from inside linebacker Jake Hansen. This was the 20th commitment for Illinois heading into next season.
Hansen is a solid addition to the football team. He is rated by 247sports as a 3-star recruit. They also have him ranked as the 286th best player in the state of Florida and the 87th best inside linebacker.
The recruitment process was extensive for Hansen. He had offers from 8 different schools and actually committed to Iowa State back in August. That commitment only lasted about 4 months before he decided to reopen his recruitment.
