Devon Matthews took to Twitter to announce he has cut his list down to just nine programs. Those nine teams include South Florida, Mississippi State, Temple, Florida Atlantic, Memphis, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Colorado State and Illinois.
This list has some solid programs on it. Illinois must battle a SEC program in Mississippi State and a South Florida team who has a new head coach in Charlie Strong and is the in-state program for Matthews. But, Illinois has enough going for them to possibly land this talented player.
As of right now, Matthews has some pros and cons. To start with the pros, his hitting ability really stands out.
