As I am typing this, Illinois is already up to 10 commitments for 2018. The commitments are broken up into six offensive players and four defensive players right now. I am excited about all the players, but here are some things that I am noticing right now.
- Illinois wants to have a dominant secondary and that is one area they are focusing on. They have signed three defensive backs in this class, including a wild-card pickup in Sydney Brown.
Brown is from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Bradenton, Florida. He isn’t rated by 247Sports but I like this pickup for the Illini.
