According to a press release from the Illinois athletic department, freshman linebacker Julian Jones has been indefinitely suspended from the football team. Jones was apparently involved in a crime that took place in his home state of Georgia during the team's October 16-18 bye weekend.
The University will not be commenting further on the matter.

Jones, who was a three-star prospect coming out of high school, has recorded three tackles in eight games this season while primarily taking the field with the kickoff coverage unit.
