A win is a win, and the Illini moving to 1-0 is a big deal. This was a game the Illini couldn’t afford to lose because the goal is a bowl game in my eyes. They needed to win this game and move on to the next contest so they can become bowl eligible.
In the second half, I liked most of what Illinois did on the football field. Their offense gelled and could move the ball. Their defense finally started to come together and created some turnovers. Things just seemed to go right the majority of the time.
