The University of Illinois is dropping its investigation into the sexual assault accusations made against basketball player Terrence Shannon Jr., according to ESPN's Shwetha Surendran.
The school's director of the Office for Student Conflict Resolution, Robert Wilczynski. wrote to Shannon on April 5, noting that school didn't have sufficient evidence to prove there was a violation of the student code.
Per that letter, the school wasn't given "access to the complainant, the complainant's witness." Additionally, "the complete Lawrence Police Department file was not available to the investigator."
Shannon, 23, was arrested and charged with rape, sexual intercourse without consent and use of force on Dec.
