The Illini are a little banged up.
Ahead of Friday’s game against Western Illinois — a program that Brad Underwood knows very well from his many years coaching with the Leathernecks — BU gave some injury updates on Wednesday.
The big one that comes to mind is Coleman Hawkins, who hasn’t played since last Tuesday’s loss to Marquette. Underwood said Hawkins’ status for Friday’s game is “to be determined” after missing the last two games with a leg injury.
Niccolo Moretti had a breakout game against Southern on Sunday. He had four points and three assists in the first half, but then left the game with a knee injury after colliding with Terrence Shannon Jr.
