Last night, it was announced that point guard Tracy Abrams was granted a medical redshirt that many people were expecting.
This is welcoming news that the Illini needed in the backcourt.
Abrams is a seasoned veteran at the college ranks. He played three years at Illinois before suffering injuries that last two seasons.

The 2014-15 season was missed because Abrams tore his ACL.
