Last week, the Illini moved up to No. 21 in the nation. This was the highest they have been since the 2012-2013 campaign, which was also the last time the Illini made the postseason. Illinois now checks in at No. 19 in the nation. Why were we able to move up, though?
The answer to that question is simple. We went on the road twice this past week, in the Big Ten, and came away with a 2-0 record. That is an extremely difficult feat considering we went up against Purdue and Michigan, both are tough road teams.
