Illinois currently sits at 12-12 overall and 2-9 in the Big Ten as I type this. They have had so many close games this season and, honestly, I think they are only a player or two away from being an NCAA tournament team and possibly in the Top 25.
I know some of you are going to think I am delusional saying the Illini could be in the top 25 with the addition of a player or two, but I really think that is possible. They could and should have won the Northwestern, Maryland, New Mexico State, Iowa and Nebraska games if they just had one more talented player on the floor.
