Seeing talented kids on the court and projecting what they can do in the future is an important part of coaching. Brad Underwood and the Illini coaching staff pick kids who can help the team moving forward whether they are a five-star or a two-star. The Illini are now targeting Isaiah Barnes.
Barnes is a 6-foot-5, 150-pound combo guard from Oak Park and River Forest High School in Romeoville, Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit by Future150, but some of the recruiting sites don’t have him rated or ranked.
On Sunday, Barnes announced on Twitter that he had received an offer from the Illini.
