According to FDM Athletics, Illinois is going to be in to see 2020 forward Bayron Matos on Wednesday. Matos is a 6-foot-8, 200-pound center from Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 134 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 19 center in the nation.
Illinois originally got in on Matos’ recruitment back on July 21 when they offered him a scholarship. This was a good offer considering the lack of depth at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions on the team.
