On Wednesday, CBS Sports released their three preseason All-American teams. On the third-team, you will find Ayo as one of the guards. The short paragraph on Ayo mentions that it would have been understandable if he declared for the NBA after last season, and he would be on an NBA roster right now. It also states that he has come back and should help lead Illinois to the postseason.
I am a little bias but I think Ayo should be on the first-team list. There are a bunch of freshmen ahead of him who haven’t played a single game of college basketball yet.
