On Monday morning, Corey Evans of Rivals.com reported that Wichita State transfer Jamarius Burton has heard from various programs since announcing his intent to depart the program. The teams who had contacted Burton included Pittsburgh, UConn, Butler, West Virginia, Xavier, Marquette, Maryland, Seton Hall, Arizona, Virginia Tech, Dayton, Arizona State and Illinois.
Burton was a 6-foot-5, 195-pound combo-guard coming out of Independence High School in the class of 2018. He was rated as a three-star recruit who was the No. 408 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 32 combo-guard in the nation.
